IPR Recruitment 2025: Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), a premier institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, has announced 50 apprentice vacancies (32 Graduate + 18 Technician) through Advertisement No. 04/2025. This one-year training program offers valuable experience in cutting-edge plasma research. Applications must be submitted online via NATS portal by 20 May 2025 (Extended).
The Institute for Plasma Research can trace its roots back to early 1970’s when a coherent and interactive programme of theoretical and experimental studies in plasma physics with an orientation towards understanding space plasma phenomena was established at the Physical Research laboratory.
Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement as apprentices under The Apprentices (Amendment) Act, 1973 (as amended from time to time) at Institute for Plasma Research, an Aided Institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. It provides one year Apprentice training to Engineering/General Stream candidates as per the Government of India guidelines.

Education Qualification
Graduate Apprentice (Degree):
- Engineering: B.E/B.Tech in relevant discipline
- General Stream: B.Com/BA/BBA
Technician Apprentices (Diploma)
- Diploma in relevant engineering discipline
Stipend:
- Rs.13500/- p.m. (Consolidated) for Graduate Apprentices (Degree holder).
- Rs.12000/- p.m. (Consolidated) for Technician Apprentices (Diploma holder).
The duration of the apprenticeship is one year for all apprentices. The Institute shall have no obligation to give regular employment to apprentices. The apprentices shall have no right to claim regular employment from Institute on the basis of this apprenticeship at any point of time.
